Brasília (DF) - Carnival is a festival, fun and a lot of diversity. From north to south, Brazil offers a wide variety of programs and scripts with special programming for the LGBT population. It is estimated that about 180 000 foreign tourists from landing in the segment merriment momesca that spreads throughout the country they should remain in Brazilian soil 5-10 days, and visit an average of two cities in this period. According to the Brazilian Association of Tourism for Gays, Lesbians and Sympathizers (ABRAT-GLS), the most sought after by the public in this Carnival 2012 will be Rio de Janeiro, Florianopolis, Salvador, Recife, Paraty and Buzios. According to World Tourism Organization (WTO), the segment of the LGBT tourists represent 10% of travelers in the world, and spend on average 30% more than tourists from other profiles. This represents 15% of the total expenditure of tourists in the world. The numbers are accurate: every tourist who comes to LGBT Brazil spends on average U.S. $ 2200 in five days of carnival, while the Brazilian tourist spends in the same period, £ 2100.
